Neurospark FC Set for NNL Debut as Club Announces Pre-Season Return and Open Trials

Neurospark FC have begun preparations for their first-ever Nigeria National League campaign, announcing the return of their existing first-team squad and a fresh recruitment drive ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Abuja-based club will resume pre-season training on 5 August 2026, as preparations intensify following their historic promotion from the Nationwide League One.

Neurospark secured promotion to the NNL after an impressive debut campaign in the NLO, marking a rapid rise for a club competing in its first professional league season.

With the new challenge ahead, the club is now turning its attention towards strengthening the squad while maintaining the core group that delivered promotion.

Open Trials Begin August 10

As part of its recruitment plans, Neurospark FC will conduct open trials for aspiring footballers in Abuja, beginning on 10 August 2026.

Time: 7:30 AM

The assessment process will run for three weeks.

The first week will focus on screening and evaluation, before selected players progress into two further weeks of trial matches.

The club is expected to assess players on more than just technical ability, with quality, discipline, attitude and overall suitability for NNL football forming part of the evaluation process.

Players who impress throughout the assessment period could earn an opportunity to join Neurospark's squad for the 2026/27 NNL campaign.
